The TA05 represents the state of the art in sport-level sedan chassis of its time. It fits the TA04's outer suspension components onto an entirely new low-slung tub chassis featuring an equal-length belt drive system, a motor mount just rear of center, and a longitudinal battery mount. The TA05 features front & rear end assemblies that are as close to identical as reasonable, reducing spare parts needs and simplifying the maintenance routine. With many versions and updates produced, including a laydown Inboard Front Suspension (IFS) version for lower-slung bodies, the TA05 platform was both versatile for casual dirvers and capable on the track for club racers.

Pros: Excellent handling, very strong option & aftermarket support, smooth belt drivetrain, modest cost Cons: Poor LiPo battery fitment, narrow 187mm width in early versions
