The DT-02 was unveiled in 2005 as a new entry-level 2WD buggy. The assembly is very simple, but the finished vehicle is a very respectable car for what it is. The original model, the Super Fighter G, used friction shocks and plastic camber links and dogbones, but starting with the Desert Gator, adjustable linkages, metal dogbones, and tunable oil-filled shocks were included. The DT-02 MS (Satoshi Maezumi) kit went so far as to include threaded aluminum shocks, turnbuckle-style links, a ball diff and a finned motor heatsink. Regardless of trim level, the DT-02 is not a competition-class, high-end buggy, nor does it pretend to be. It's targeted towards first-time hobby-level RC'ers, and in this capacity it excels.
Pros: Easy to build, durable, good handling, slick modern appearance Cons: Limited gearing options, proprietary spur gear
